Abstract: Based on qualitative research and intervention research carried out with 36 micro-enterprises, we are attempting to establish a cognitive map of the factors influencing the manager's choice of actions in the company. The originality of this study, that is based on the theory of planned behavior (Ajzen, 1987, 1991), lies in the understanding of the cognitive schemes of the entrepreneur whose company is in a post-birth situation. The results present a description of the collective cognitive map called the "Entrepreneur's Cognitive Strategic Configuration" (CSCE) and highlight the impacts of the CSCE on the overall and sustainable performance of the company (Savall and Zardet, 1987). The results finally highlight the impact of intervention research, as an accompanying methodology, on the CSCE.
