Abstract:
The analysis focuses on a training program designed to support the integration of refugees. Despite commitments made to the public funder, the initiative lacks links with companies and employment intermediaries, leaving students—without labor market experience—to develop professional integration projects and provide social support. Two features of this program—the use of French as a foreign language for language instruction, and the fostering of a cooperative dynamic among all participants (trainers, refugees, and students) in the training center—offer beneficiaries a unique experience of social integration that fosters reflection on their future projects and aspirations.
