Abstract: This article tries to present some elements of answer to the question asked in the title, we will try to analyze the constraints that weigh on the economy, but also the assets on which Morocco can count to consolidate its place of emerging countries, or even To take a place among the developed countries later. The reading of the dashboards of the Moroccan economy, over the period 2000-2015, reveals a good control of the main macroeconomic aggregates (a low inflation rate, stabilization of the budget balance, stabilization or even a downward trend The rate of public debt, etc.). It is necessary to point out weaknesses in this economy, notably the sharp fluctuation in economic growth over this period, due to instability in the value added of the agricultural sector and the inability of foreign trade to conquer new markets.
