Abstract:
The luxury industry stands as a beacon of craftsmanship, exclusivity and heritage, thriving on the principles of impeccable quality and unparalleled customer experience. Luxury brands face the challenges of preserving their heritage, adapting to evolving consumer expectations and preserving profitability. This delicate balance underscores the critical role of sourcing and supply management in shaping the identity and resilience of luxury brands. Supply management in the luxury industry is strategic for several reasons. Suppliers often provide the scarce and rare resources required to produce luxury goods and services, such as gems, fine and exotic leather, craftsmanship, temporary labour for events, watch components and specialized consultants and creators. The ability to secure these exclusive resources is essential for maintaining the unique identity and high standards of luxury brands.
