Abstract: This abstract presents a metamodel designed to organise organisational transformation projects, grounded in the constructivist epistemology of Le Moigne and Simon. The double-pyramid metamodel links three zones: the ecosystem (external regulations and demands), the system (the organisation, from its overall design to its tool-supported procedures) and the interface between them, where strategy is defined. Used in EFESO's consulting assignments in a top-down, iterative way, it makes explicit the relationship between the modelling subject and the organisation being modelled. Since the organisation "produces and is produced by itself", the authors conclude that a PLM approach can manage its life cycle like that of a product.
