Abstract: Complementarity or competition between airports : the example of south-east France. - This paper concerns the air transport facilites provided by the four main airports of south-eastern France (Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Marseille Provence, Nice Côte-d'Azur and Montpellier Mediterranée). It explores the complementary nature of theses infrastructures and the possiblities for coordination between these airports to improve accessibility. Complementarity between services is of little interest to the main actors - airport.
