Abstract: Some thoughts on the audit report into major transport infrastructure projects. – The audit report into major transport infrastructure projects has led to a number of reactions. The author stresses the fact that the experts having drafted this report have carried out a great deal of work and that the conclusions of the report are the logical consequence of the brief to which these experts have worked, and of the approach that they have consequently adopted. Hence the necessity of fully understanding this approach, (which is based on the internal socio-economic profitability of the various projects) and the limits of this approach in order to assess the conclusions of the report. To illustrate his point, the author uses the example of the Seine-Nord canal.----------------------------------------------With the author and the publisher of the copyright agreement.
