Abstract:
In Vietnam central government and local authorities are more and more aware of the increasing economic and social costs of private motorised transport trends. For Hanoi city case, a French-Vietnamese research program has been undertaken for three years on urban transport and environment based a survey of 918 households and Delphi survey. This paper presents some results of this research program focusing on sustainable transport measures acceptability by surveyed people and Vietnamese experts. Some implications and suggestions for a transport policy are done.
