Abstract:
This paper presents a methodological framework based on narratives. The purpose of this framework is to guide researchers in constructing generative formal knowledge from practitioners' experience in organizational processes. This generative formal knowledge is intended to be potentially useful to certain practitioners as well as valid for management scholars. The organizational process selected for illustration purposes here is that of organizational commitment, with a special focus on the phenomenon of de-commitment.
