Abstract: Collaborative work became an important stake for productivity, performance and innovation for companies. They bet more and more on communities of practice to support collaboration, sharing and creation of knowledge. The goal of this paper is to analyze the possible contribution of the Collaboration Engineering in the working of these communities, by taking as example, the Open Source communities.
