Abstract:
Private sector involvement in the resolution of international liquidity crises is one of the hot topics in the current debate on strengthening the International Financial Architecture. Between the strong criticism encountered by the case by case approach of the official sector and the impracticable rule-based approach, applying directly domestic bankruptcy laws at the international level, a third way is to design a global framework of compromise measures abiding by the optimal bankruptcy rules.
