Abstract:
Public Contributions financing Rail Systems of France and Germany. - Network management and decisions regarding the allocation of financial resources are connected closely in the railway industry. The present paper explains different choices that France and Germany made in order to ensure the financial stability of their rail systems, in particular through their infrastructure managers. Regional transport shows especially good the differences between both countries.
