Abstract:
This article builds a set of recommendations for the SGP, the Management Structures of the « Pôles de compétitivité » (Technological Clusters implemented by the French State since 2004) to help them supporting their collaborative projects. Our Study is based onto an in-depth case study of a R&D project. We postulate that innovation is a collective Design process and we use a double theoretical framework : the C-K theory of Design and the collective dimension of innovation (networks, communities). We recommend that the SGP would differentiate the collaborative projects taking into account their developmental stage, and the maturity of the concepts and knowledge they use. We also introduce new ways for projects assessment. Those recommendations are brought together into an operational Model.
