Abstract: With the innovations of the national statistical system, the study of the geographical mobility during the transition between school and employment is now possible. This article presents the various regional migratory situations at the end of the Nineties, and the main transformations that has occurred during the last fifteen years. Knowing better the labour migration patterns of new graduates allows us to characterize the various relations that exist between academic background and employment at the regional scale. It appears that there is not an obvious relation between the quality of the transition from school to the labour market and the various regional migratory situations.
