Abstract: The article is aimed at presenting a transactional approach to social indicators of well being. Such an approach insists upon the social processes underlying the collective building of indicators by citizens or stakeholders searching to reconstruct valuation spaces and institutions. Our End-in-view is to contribute to build a social science of indicators.
