Abstract: This article gives an overview of the research done in organizational discourse, and in particular in accounting discourse. Sense making, symbolic activities, but also control of the power in the organization are usually at stake in these discourse, and the analysis of processes though which power and sense are controlled depends on the definitions of discourse adopted by the researcher: disembodied text, monologue or interactive dialogue. If discourse is above all a manager's activity, its study may not only concern power and knowledge, but also ideology, storytelling and the construction of organizational identity through pluryvocality.
