Abstract:
As we focus on the evolution of the relative weight of the Tunis area and the tunisian coastline in the industrial potential of this country, we would like now to complete the strictly economic analysis of the agglomeration and industrial location by an approach of the economy decision-makers as multi dimensional actors. These actors place their action within a historical heritage that the article firstly reminds with utmost care. Then, we make a difference between foreign investors and native businessmen. The former, whose industrial activities almost coincide, in Tunisia, with exporting industries, are particularly submitted to the coastline attraction. The latter, intermingle economic calculation with various expectations and fears which are not always professionally minded. It results in forces that concentrate or scatter the industrial activities around Tunis.
