Abstract:
This research proposes a methodology that so much qualitative as quantitatively classifies a sample of countries according to their levels of fortresses and weaknesses, making possible to identify the degree in which an economy is or not best prepared to confront the energy crisis shown at the beginning of the XXI Century. The countries subject of analysis represents the main advanced and emergent economies, worldwide known as Group of 8+5. These countries lead the international efforts to promote energy security worldwide. So, the importance of identifying what countries are somehow better or worst prepared to confront the energy crisis that we attend day after day represents a useful tool to take into account when making international business decisions.
