Abstract: Alice is an innovative and collaborative pedagogical environment. It is a computerized opensource learning aid being experimented. This article describes the reasons which led us to develop this tool and presents its main functionalities. The design of ALICE and its learning methods stems mainly from two approaches: the first one from the socio-constructivist and socio-cultural pedagogies and the second one from the knowledge management.
