Politiques publiques et cycles de vie
Jean-Claude Thoenig ()
Post-Print from HAL
Abstract:
When the journal Politique et Management Public was launched, it allocated a major editorial attention to policy analysis, a domain that had been up to then to a large extent ignored by francophone publications. The text by Jean-Claude Thoenig describes in which conditions and circumstances such an institutionnalization process has occured and also assesses its impacts. It lists the factors that shall generate and induce its relative decline during the 1990s : some form of scientific normalization syndrom, a dilution of the agenda of the domain, etc. It advocates the benefits of a new attention to be given by research to themes and theories. It also suggests that today in France some form of distance is again occuring between the academic commmunity and the dynamics of knowledge that unfortunately leaves some scientific enigma still unexplored.
