Abstract: This article registers in a research program being focused on the study of asymmetrical alliances as form of internationalization of SME. By being based on an exclusively theoretical review, we aim at understanding the context of this partnership and at putting the emphasis on threats and opportunities which come in the small and medium-sized company as part of such collaboration.
