Abstract:
How do firms sustain continuous innovation ? To deal with this question, this article focuses on the connection between the various innovations of the firm, included both technological and organizational ones. Five case studies are chosen for their emblematic perspective of nine transitions of innovation. Our theoretical framework is based on decision making process : analogical, deductive and inductive. These processes outline the complex relations between the various innovations of the firm and emphasize the role of organizational innovation in sustained product development.
