Abstract:
Title: Agricultural protection and sanitary quality in French Polynesia - Abstract: Agriculture in French Polynesia shows an intensive use of pesticides that affects the sanitary quality of local products. Quality improvement requires incentives in favor of environmental protection, but agricultural protection hinders theses incentives. The high level of agricultural protection, justified by active lobbies, should be reduced for this purpose, which would imply a new conception of public policy.
