Abstract:
This introduction presents the three parts of the book. The first part presents the analyses about the foundations of a long-standing debate in economics : what is at stake in a monetary theory of capitalist economy ? The second part gives a account of major monetary analysis from the perspective of the history economic thought. The third part of the book aims to suggest a theoretical framework for a renewed monetary approach and the extensions of such an alternative.
