Abstract:
This paper presents an application of geomatics in the field of the knowledge economy. It addresses the subject of the analysis of mechanisms for sharing knowledge in firms and human resources dimension. We first present the context and issues before describing the data base CTRD, a specific spatio-temporal tool we have developed for the analysis of the mobility of researchers in companies in France. The aim is to show the contribution of such a tool for understanding the specific strategies of multinational firms in staff mobility of R&D at national and regional spatial scales.
