Abstract:
In this chapter, we discuss first the differentiated forms of conceptualisation: industrial districts, industrial clusters and poles of competitiveness. By summarizing country by country the main findings of the research, the authors point out the lessons Europe may learn from the organisation and implementation of clusters in Asia. Then, while keeping in mind the approaches which have built up over time around the phenomena of the agglomeration of enterprises, they tend to reconsider the theoretical approaches.
