Abstract:
How networks of knowledge management organize for nanotechnology development in Colombia? How do those networks combine the international visibility and local appropiation? This paper approaches those questions starting from the notion of Not Applied Applicable Knowledge (NAAK) raised by Pablo Kreimer (2006) and study of three Colombian cases of knowledge management in that technological field. The findings lead to rethink the concept of NAAK, since the cases indicate a co-construction of the local with global and a generation and use of knowledge not strictly separated, nor united. We suggest the notion de joint knowledge management in which the roles of knowledge user and generator are interchangeable along the time and the learnings cross institutions and disciplines.
