Les trajectoires de l’innovation dans les services: vers un enrichissement des taxonomies évolutionnistes

Faïz Gallouj

Post-Print from HAL

Abstract: This paper is devoted to evolutionary technical change taxonomies. These taxonomies relate given firms or sectors to given technological behaviours or trajectories. They have made great progress in the understanding of technological phenomenon, but they underestimate, particularily in the field of service activities, the variety of innovation beghaviours. A fonctional approach of the product is both coherent with evolutionary hypothesis and makes it possible to take into account new innovation behaviours or trajectories. This approach makes it possible to avoid both technological determinism of traditional taxonomies and univocal realtionships between sectors and types of the taxonomy.
