Economic achievements of the regions of the European Union
PALMARÈS ÉCONOMIQUE DES RÉGIONS DE L’UNION EUROPÉENNE

Abstract:
To the diversity of its countries, the European Union adds that of its regions, whose economic level is extremely varied. Hence the advantage of comparing them by considering their level of wealth creation. The three stages of the podium are occupied by the regions London Center, Luxembourg and Hamburg, while the Île-de-France, the only French region to be among the top twenty-five, is only eighth. Hence a first question: Are there explanatory logics of such results in Europe and in France? Second question: could this classification of the year be deeply questioned in the future?
