Abstract: Abstract : Over the last few years, the topic of "liberated companies" as gradually emerged in France, largely thanks to the works of Carney and Getz (2009 ; 2013). This article examines how and why these types of enterprises have experienced such an increase in success regardless of the fact that they have been sharply criticized. After reviewing the main elements in the literature available on this subject, we have focused on the example of a company called Sogilis, specialized in the manufacture of software. This study enables us to better understand the key characteristics of liberated companies and more specifically, the conditions necessary for them to succeed. It also questions the ability of managers to deal with autonomous and heterogeneous practices.
