Abstract: Organizations attempts to adapt to environmental changes, whether it concern economic, regulatory, social or technological changes, are a recurring concern in management sciences. However, despite extensive research, there is no consensus about the process that would allow a better understanding of what organizations are changing and why some succeed in initiatinchange and others don't. For some industries, the arrival of internet particularly added a layer of complexity. It created indeed new challenges for the exploration of the phenomenon in the absence of a proven model of organizational redesign that incorporates digital logic. This paper intends to make better understand these changes conceptually and theoretically. We begin by recalling some foundations of organizational transformation from a historical perspective without pretending to go in depth into this vast and protean issue. We will then present the main changes that took place with the advent of the online newspapers.
