Abstract:
Professional collective sports are exposed in recurring excesses of their costs and endemic deficits. Football become an industry claims the necessity of a specific regulation managed by the sports authorities. As far as they are concerned, the authorities want to protect cultural and social dimensions of sport while guaranteeing the respect of fundamental major principles both in labor and competition law. The article analyses the foundations, the implementation and the future of the financial fair-play system established by UEFA with the agreement of EEC authorities in a larger context of construction for a European model of sports regulation.
