Abstract:
Logistics service providers (LSPs) have become one of the main players in the supply chain thanks to the quality and the price of service packages they offer to the food industry. This article discusses the adequacy of service packages developped by LSPs in the context of a permanent conflict between industry and distributors. This analysis is based on an empirical study in three geographical areas: Brittany, Normandy and the Loire-Atlantique region. Our aim is to determine what type of service packages the food industry will eventually favour.
