Abstract:
The Urban Freight Surveys carried out between 1993 and 1995 marked a great advance in the knowledge of goods flows and organisations. Their renewal in 2013 has made it possible to show the invariants and evolutions of transport practices. Abundant literature, decision support tools and experiments have led to regulatory and organisational changes to reduce negative impacts and improve logistics performances. This article presents research advances, changes in logistics practices, the current regulatory framework and a critical assessment of the experiments conducted in a context of major changes in commercial practices and household supply.
