Abstract: Multinational companies are confronted with management that has a large diversity of knowledge. Not only is the diffusion between different units questioned but also the diversity within the management of decentralized multinationals. This article offers a detailed analysis of many multinational cases of high technology. We question the possibility to circulate knowledge between objects. Provided evidence proliferates the management tools intended to control knowledge diffusion. The possibility to connect these different management tools is criticized to highlight the other possibilities of knowledge sharing.
