Abstract:
The article presents the benefits of smart contracts from an economic analysis perspective. It demonstrates how the precise design of smart contracts enhances the execution of transactions among microeconomic agents by facilitating payments and deterring fraud. The case of an international sale is proposed to illustrate the extended exchange possibilities achieved through such tools.
