Abstract: The phenomenon of quiet quitting, referring to employees doing the minimum amount of work required, has recently received considerable attention, and several factors seem to be at the heart of this problem. This phenomenon, which is not entirely new, was frequently raised during the COVID-19 pandemic, following the trend of the "great resignation" movement in which a large number of people left their jobs in 2021. This study aims to investigate this concept in Morocco through the development of a theoretical framework from the perspective of commitment theory, burnout, role conflict, organizational citizenship behaviors, and social exchange theory. Secondly, a qualitative exploratory study was conducted among healthcare professionals working in a public hospital in Morocco, with the aim of exploring quiet quitting behaviours in the hospital context, and their implications for the workplace.
