Abstract: This concluding chapter highlights the growing centrality of real estate in contemporary capitalism. Once a sector driven by other economic activities, real estate has now become the driving force of economic growth. Thus, the general rise in real estate prices can be interpreted as a gamble on the growth likely to be generated by the production or restructuring of cities, through the opportunities and variety of experiences they offer their occupants.
