Abstract:
In this article, we explore how the socio-economic management model allows family businesses to professionalize their managerial practices and increase their performance. Drawing on an intervention-research launched in 2017, we highlight the managerial specificities of these companies, their main dysfunctions and explain the characteristics of the methods and tools of the socio-economic approach to management playing a role in the professionalization of the managerial practices of family-owned companies. Finally, we propose an analysis grid of the effects linked to the implementation of managerial tools and devices as well as new conceptual perspectives.
