Abstract:
In this chapter we explore how the socio-economic management model (SEAM) enables family businesses (FB) to professionalize their managerial practices and increase their performance. Based on a research-intervention project initiated in 2017, we highlight the managerial specificities of these companies, their main dysfunctions and observed improvement actions. This chapter also explains the characteristics of the methods and tools of socio-economic approach to management that play a decisive role in resolving the difficulties encountered by FB.
