Abstract: In the face of economic crises, recourse to the "Job saving plan" is frequent but not very conclusive, either on the social or economic level. Through the study of an intervention-research conducted in a SME, this chapter shows that the external environment alone does not explain the economic difficulties of companies and that a large part of socio-economic performance is played out internally. This case study also shows how a proactive strategy, focused on hidden costs-performance, is the "foundation" of a deep and sustainable restructuring, and enables a large-scale economic recovery.
