Abstract:
Michel Aglietta and Etienne Espagne deliver a work of unusual scope and ambition, thanks to the authors' strong theoretical appetite, the breadth of the period covered, the questions raised about our future – from ecological planning to the future of capitalism – and the diversity of disciplines addressed: economics, environmental history, anthropology, life sciences, etc. Its purpose is to jointly analyse the dynamics of capitalism and the transformations of nature. This review looks back at the contributions of the book and discusses its various proposals.
