Abstract: The Haitian coffee industry is undergoing transformation amid recurring institutional, economic, and environmental crises. Our analysis, based on a historical and institutional approach, draws on secondary sources, regulatory texts, and interviews with industry stakeholders. The results show that the sector's resilience depends on the adaptation of collective practices, the diversification of outlets, and organizational innovation, but remains hampered by institutional fragmentation, a lack of coherent public policies, and a heavy dependence on international donors. Strengthening local structures and adapting financing mechanisms are essential to ensuring the sustainability of this industry.
