Abstract:
Recent events have highlighted the importance given by companies to the concept of performance. But the meaning of the latter has considerably evolved in the management science and particularly in strategic human resource management (SHRM) which has been able to develop a thorough literature over the years. Thus the researchers studied the relationship between SHRM and organizational performance. From a theoretical point of view, this paper attempts to study the effect of SHRM practices on the overall performance of the organization. For this purpose, we analyze in detail, in the first part, the components of organizational performance from the work of Morin et al. (1994). In the second part, we present the SHRM practices according to the Garand and Fabi analysis (1992).
