Abstract:
In the new reference of 2019 concerning the BTS (Higher National Diploma) Tourism, a specialization was created to enhance the specificities of a local - territorial field of tourism activities, to facilitate a professional integration of the student in a specialty and integrate the concept of project. This report proposes that the Higher School of Tourism Grand Sud Formation adopt the specialization of its BTS Tourism in the field of business tourism. In support, statistics and the logical declination of the architecture of the complete training given at the school show the important link between the BTS and the Bachelor (Bac +3). In particular, we highlight the old and recognized presence of the Bachelor of Business Tourism (FEDE) to offer students a deepening of the first specialization that students have seen in BTS. As for the test, it is based on a project developed by the candidate during his training and aimed at better understanding the specificities of a specific field of tourism activities. The choice of the project is linked to an order or a partnership with a private or public structure working in the tourism sector. For our part, our close ties with the hotel sector of the metropolis of Toulouse, oriented mainly in the business sector (MICE Meetings réunions, Incentive, Conferences et Exhibitions - Events - événements professionnels et Foire internationale de Toulouse MEETT – Toulouse Evènements), is easily explained through the aeronautical activity of Airbus in Toulouse and its sub-companies. This is mainly due to the presence of more than 75% of the hotel stock working for business tourism. For more than 30 years, our school has forged close ties with this entire sector and service employment pool. The implementation of the project is based on specifications provided by the school or partner, or even in collaboration between the two parties. We proceed by question and general questioning to better understand the operational tasks of the student, namely: relevance of the analysis of a specific professional context - effectiveness of the approach undertaken to build the project - consistency of the project carried out in relation to the initial specifications and the complementary skills targeted, and identification of the needs of customers – business tourists. This is a four-step presentation of the possible report to be given to the employer but also to the members of the BTS jury at the very end of the training during the final evaluation. It must have the function of questioning and amplifying the student's ability to solve problems, or even to a modest extent, be a force of proposal, for example: what could slow me down or block me in my project? Why my product stands out, the best? Compared to the competition? What are the different steps to succeed my need - project? And for each question, list the need that this implies, as well as the resulting functionality. First need? Second need?... Finally, the CSR aspect must be addressed, CSR and business, a more sustainable, responsible and sustainable business tourism within different companies and structures such as hotels or event agency.
