Working Papers from HAL

Abstract: This paper introduces an agricultural soil performance measure which inherits the structure of the Luenberger-Hicks-Moorsteen productivity indicator. The proposed agricultural soil performance measure is relevant in the context of quality changes in input and output dimensions. Specifically, the method provided in this paper permits to disaggregate the agricultural performance variation by highlighting the soil-based agricultural productivity component aside with the economic-based one. Moreover, an econometric model is provided illustrating the practicability of the Luenberger-Hicks-Moorsteen agricultural soil performance indicator.
