Working Papers from HAL

Abstract: In Madagascar, the FoodSec-Semence project is working on four crops: maize, potato, cassava and bean, in three regions: Analamanga, Itasy and Vakinankaratra. Activity 1 was carried out under two components, each of which resulted in the production of a report: the first concerned seed management by seed multiplication farmers and by ordinary farms; the second concerned the players and the organization of seed production and marketing. Report No. 3 summarizes the main results obtained under project activity 1, which are presented in detail in the following reports: Report No. 1: "Seed management by multiplier farmers and ordinary farms in the Analamanga, Itasy and Vakinankaratra regions of Madagascar" Report No. 2: "Situation of the maize, cassava, bean and potato seed sectors in Madagascar according to the main seed actors".
