Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the relationship between the inflation rate and economic growth in the Congolese context, and to determine the implications in terms of economic policy. The approach adopted combines descriptive and econometric analyses, covering the period 1990-2023. It follows, on the one hand, that there is a negative, albeit not significant but moderate relationship in all phases of economic development. In addition, the study highlights a unidirectional non-causality between the rate of economic growth and the rate of inflation. It is recommended that mechanisms be established to strengthen and consolidate the macroeconomic framework, by implementing restrictive and incentive policies that promote public and private investment, as well as structural reforms to reduce the economy's dependence on the rest of the world. It is through this approach that the growth of the DRC's gross domestic product can accelerate and be sustained over the long term, while ensuring moderate or controlled variation in domestic prices.
