Abstract: The present work, which focuses on "the effects of conjunctural public policies on economic growth in the Great Lakes region countries in Africa: a panel data analysis from 1973 to 2022," aims to analyze the impact of conjunctural public policies on economic growth in the CEPGL countries and identify control variables to explain the level of growth in the region's countries. However, the study finds that several other factors are important for promoting economic growth in the region. These include: Encouraging private investment: The study finds that private investment is a key driver of economic growth in the Great Lakes region. To promote private investment, governments in the region should create a stable and predictable policy environment, reduce red tape, and invest in infrastructure. Maintaining low inflation: The study also finds that high inflation can have a negative impact on economic growth. To maintain low inflation, governments in the region should adopt sound monetary and fiscal policies
