Born Fast, Gone Faster? SME Survival in a Port City
Zouhair Ait Benhamou
Working Papers from HAL
Abstract:
The article shows that there has been a marked increase in SMEs located in the French city of Le Havre since the early 1980s. These firms provide a dynamic source of economic growth and activities, but their survival is relatively low, while larger, more established firms are more stable, and do exhibit idiosyncratic geolocation.
